Issued by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the 'S.H.MonsterArts' series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, announced today the confirmed commercialization of the new product "King Ghidorah (1972)", from the movie "Godzilla vs. Gigan" (Earth Attack Command).
The film "Godzilla vs. Gigan" (Earth Attack Command), which celebrates its 50th anniversary since its release, is the debut work of the popular monster Gigan. In the film, the antagonists, the M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens, in their bid to invade Earth, not only transformed a space dinosaur into the cyborg monster Gigan but also enlisted the powerful Cosmic Super Monster King Ghidorah. They used the "Godzilla Tower" to transmit signals and control them to attack Earth. However, the Earth monster duo, Godzilla and Anguirus, had long since detected their invasion intentions and launched a counterattack against the invading alien monsters.
Following the successive releases of Godzilla (1972), Gigan (1972), and Anguirus (1972), Bandai will finally complete the lineup of monsters appearing in the film with the last one, King Ghidorah (1972). However, currently, only a silhouette of the product has been released, and detailed information will be announced at a later date.
