Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced that the second product in its popular 'Frame Arms Girl' mecha musume model kit series' large-scale branch, 'GRANDE SCALE', the "Inocentia", is scheduled for release in May 2025.
The 'GRANDE SCALE' series redesigns Kotobukiya's past model kit CAD models into large-scale products. By enlarging each part, not only are details more clearly visible, but the difficulty of assembly, painting, and customization is also reduced. Furthermore, it allows for compatibility with larger mecha and weapons from other Kotobukiya series for customization. Following the first product, "Gourai", Kotobukiya is once again releasing "Inocentia" with unarmored limb parts, allowing Gourai and future Frame Arms Girls to be transformed into their base body forms, giving Frame Arms Girls a playstyle more akin to 1/6 scale doll bodies.
The "GRANDE SCALE Inocentia" is produced at a height of approximately 25 cm, roughly 1/6 scale, thoroughly enlarging Inocentia's refined base body design, making it easier to assemble and paint compared to standard sizes. The body's proportions are similar to common 1/6 scale doll products on the market. In addition to the original customization playstyle with plastic models, it can also be paired with the included long neck part to find suitable fabric clothing for dress-up.
Thanks to designs such as a posable waist joint, sliding hip joints, and ball-jointed wrists, Inocentia can be posed in a variety of flexible and adorable ways. It comes with 3 pre-painted face parts, two types of limb parts (skin tone and black), 5 pairs each of two types of sculpted hands (skin tone and black), various hair styles and hair ornament parts, and more, allowing for a wide range of looks.
Due to the enlargement, the expansion ports on various armor parts have been changed from the original 3mm holes to 5mm holes. However, dedicated adapter parts for 5mm to 3mm holes are also included, allowing for customization with Kotobukiya's 'M.S.G', 'Hexa Gear', and other product lines.
