Issued by Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s Gashapon toy brand, the "Mini Gashapon Book (Mame Gashapon Book)" series, which is completely serious about its playful endeavors, will be released in the fourth week of January 2025 with the "Hobby JAPAN ~Mobile Suit Gundam Special Issue~" (Hobby JAPAN ~Kidō Senshi Gandamu Tokushū-gō~)! The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per capsule.
Founded in 1969, Hobby JAPAN is a highly representative model toy magazine in Japan that is regularly followed and collected by a wide range of toy enthusiasts. In addition to new toy information, it also includes content on assembling models. This Mini Gashapon Book aims to recreate the Gundam-themed magazines from 1980 to 2000: HOW TO BUILD GUNDAM and GUNDAM WEAPONS, meticulously presenting these magazines, which you might also have collected, in a super-mini 5 cm format!
Currently, there are four types available for collection, including 1981's "HOW TO BUILD GUNDAM", 1982's "HOW TO BUILD GUNDAM 2", and the March 2000 releases that thoroughly explain the weapons used by the mobile suits: "GUNDAM WEAPONS RX-78 Gundam Chapter" and "GUNDAM WEAPONS MS-06 Zaku Chapter". This can be described as quite romantic.
