The popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts," released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced its latest product based on the Hong Kong police action film "Police Story": "Inspector Chan Ka-Kui." The suggested retail price is 11,000 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2025!
The police action film "Police Story" (ポリス・ストーリー／香港国際警察), released in 1985 and directed by martial arts superstar Jackie Chan, tells the story of police officer Chan Ka-Kui (played by Jackie Chan) who risks his life to apprehend drug lord Chu Tao during a raid. He is subsequently framed for the murder of a police officer, becoming a wanted man, and embarks on a journey to clear his name. The film series is known for its high-difficulty, death-defying stunts, showcasing Jackie Chan's superb martial arts skills through perilous actions like car chases and jumping from tall buildings, and was rated as one of Hong Kong's top ten films of the 1980s.
The "S.H.Figuarts Inspector Chan Ka-Kui" action figure, approximately 15 cm tall, is based on the classic bus chase scene from the film. He wears the military green jumpsuit from the pursuit of Chu Tao, faithfully recreating the loose-fitting jumpsuit and physique while also ensuring articulation flexibility. Jackie Chan's facial features are thoroughly reproduced, and in addition to the serious basic expression, three interchangeable face parts are included: an angry expression glaring at opponents, a desperate expression showing distress in difficult situations, and a smiling expression. Furthermore, accessories such as a pistol and an umbrella are included, allowing fans to recreate impressive grand scenes!
