BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS has announced that the latest product from the 6-inch action figure series 'GUNDAM UNIVERSE', designed for Mobile Suit Gundam fans worldwide, will be "Wing Gundam Zero" from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, scheduled for release in June 2025.
The XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero is the prototype for all Gundam mobile suits in the Gundam Wing universe. After developing the Tallgeese, six scientists, including Doctor J, improved upon its flaw of being uncontrollable by ordinary humans and pursued extremely high combat performance, ultimately designing the Wing Gundam Zero around A.C. 180. This mobile suit features armor made from "Gundanium Alloy," which possesses high impact and heat resistance, and is equipped with the "ZERO System" to stabilize the pilot's body and mind. Its main armament, the "Twin Buster Rifle," boasts astonishing power capable of destroying a space colony with a single shot at maximum output. However, possibly due to immature technology at the time or the drawbacks of the ZERO System, the data for this mobile suit was sealed for a long period until A.C. 195, when it was officially produced and deployed in combat.
The distinguishing feature of the "GUNDAM UNIVERSE Wing Gundam Zero" compared to previous products in the series is its adoption of the newly developed movable frame, the "UNIVERSAL REACTION FRAME." This frame simultaneously maintains joint strength and expands the range of articulation, which was previously a common complaint. Designs such as pull-out shoulder joints and front skirt armor that can rotate 90 degrees upwards to allow for high kneeling poses enable the mobile suit to be posed in various dynamic combat stances.
The overall design is based on the anime settings, integrated with the "GUNDAM UNIVERSE" series style, making the exterior armor visually more robust and adding numerous original sculpted lines to enrich the detail. Accessories include three pairs of interchangeable hands, the Twin Buster Rifle, two beam sabers, and a shield. Thanks to the pull-out shoulder joints, the maximum output shooting pose with both hands holding the rifle can be recreated!
