High-quality articulated figure collectible brand JOYTOY from China has once again unveiled a new product for the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" theme—the "Slash" 1/18 scale articulated figure, with a suggested retail price of US$46.99, expected to be released in March 2025!
Slash first appeared in the 1987 animated series "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Season 4, Episode 20, "Slash - The Evil Turtle From Dimension X." He was originally Bebop's secretly kept pet turtle. Because Bebop and Rocksteady wanted someone to help them clean the Technodrome, they secretly mutated him into a mutant turtle behind Shredder and Krang's backs. Unexpectedly, he later disobeyed Bebop and was teleported to Earth, where he demonstrated overwhelming power, easily defeating the Ninja Turtles in their first encounter.
This 1/18 scale articulated figure of Slash stands approximately 10.4 cm tall, slightly shorter than the four turtle brothers. Its design appears to draw inspiration from multiple works, featuring a sculpted muscular physique, rough skin, and a spiky shell. Details like his armor are rendered with elements such as ropes and chains. Accessories include a replacement head sculpt, multiple sets of interchangeable hands, and weapons such as a large machete, two katanas, a grappling hook, a dagger, and a wooden shield. Also included are everyday items like a wine glass and a lobster sandwich, as well as a mini pre-mutation Slash. Furthermore, his absolute favorite plastic palm tree in the world, "Binky," is included, allowing for a wide array of poses with the rich accessories!
In addition to a complete manhole cover base plate engraved with "City Sewer," the base also includes a small, meticulously painted manhole cover diorama piece, which can be combined with other character bases for a 360-degree display!
