American toy brand Sideshow Collectibles' Scum & Villainy series, which features various interesting supporting characters from Star Wars, has once again unveiled a new product—the "Dr. Cornelius Evazan" 1/6 scale collectible figure. With a suggested retail price of US$275, both a regular and a limited edition will be released simultaneously, with an estimated shipping window between September and December 2025!
Dr. Cornelius Evazan first appeared in the 1977 film Star Wars, working with the Aqualish thug Ponda Baba, smuggling spice for Jabba. In the film, inside the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine, Cornelius translated Ponda Baba's infamous line to Luke, "He doesn't like you," which led to Obi-Wan Kenobi brutally severing Ponda Baba's arm. Later spin-off comics also depicted Cornelius attempting to reattach Ponda Baba's arm with his own skills, but failing, and almost costing Ponda Baba his life.
This Dr. Cornelius Evazan figure vividly recreates his on-screen appearance, with the ugly scars left by bounty hunters realistically sculpted and reproduced. His shirt, pants, and vest are tailored from mixed fabric materials, capturing his overall disheveled and rugged look! Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands and an SE-14C blaster pistol, allowing for various menacing poses. It can also be displayed alongside the Ponda Baba figure, set to release between May and August, to recreate the classic "arm-severing" scene!
