Tachikoma & Motoko Kusanagi Deploy! Fulton Japan Drops Two Limited Edition "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C." Watches

Known for their exquisite timepieces and a wide array of ACG merchandise, Fulton Japan is teaming up with the iconic TV anime "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" to launch two stunning limited-edition watches! Each design is capped at just 2,000 units, with pre-orders kicking off on February 24, 2025, and an official release slated for mid-July.

"Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C.," short for "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex," is an anime adaptation of Masamune Shirow's original "Ghost in the Shell" manga, which first aired in 2002. Unlike the original story's focus on the "Puppet Master," this series sees protagonist Motoko Kusanagi remaining with Public Security Section 9, making it a standalone parallel world unrelated to other installments.

The saga continued with the sequel TV anime "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG," which aired in 2004. It maintained the same episodic structure, with each story standing alone while contributing to a larger overarching plot.

These two new watches draw inspiration from the series' protagonist, Motoko Kusanagi, and the beloved mechanical companion, Tachikoma. Both designs cleverly weave elements and the world-building of "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C." into their aesthetics, creating timepieces that are both mechanically futuristic and perfectly practical for everyday wear.

▼ Motoko Kusanagi Model - Price: ¥27,500

This model boasts an all-black exterior, with a dial background designed to mimic a high-tech circuit board. It even features a luminous function for clear visibility in the dark, and the Public Security Section 9 emblem subtly placed on the sub-dial at the six o'clock position.

The case back proudly displays the series logo and a unique limited edition number.

Each purchase includes an interchangeable purple genuine leather strap, inspired by Motoko Kusanagi's signature hair color.

The watch comes in an exclusive box adorned with binary "0" and "1" digits, complete with a "Laughing Man" dial protector and a warranty card featuring an illustration of Motoko Kusanagi.

▼ Tachikoma Model - Price: ¥27,500

The Tachikoma model's dial embraces the character's iconic color scheme. Its three sub-dials are designed to evoke Tachikoma's mechanical arms and eyes, while the outer bezel features a distinctive mechanical screw-like appearance.

The blue patterns around the dial glow with a cool blue light in the dark, thanks to their luminous triangular elements. This watch also includes an interchangeable black genuine leather strap, allowing you to switch up your style whenever you like.
