As is tradition, the 45th Golden Raspberry Awards announced its list of "winners" today, just ahead of the 97th Academy Awards ceremony. This year's biggest loser was "Madame Web," which took home three major awards: Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Actress. The remaining Razzies were split evenly among "Megalopolis," "Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story," and "Joker: Folie à Deux," with each film nabbing two awards.

Interestingly, Francis Ford Coppola, who won Worst Director for "Megalopolis," just posted an acceptance speech on his personal Instagram account. He joins a small group of filmmakers, including Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock, who have publicly accepted their Razzie Awards.
In his speech, Coppola wrote: "I am thrilled to accept the Razzie award in so many important categories for 'Megalopolis,' and for the distinctive honor of being nominated as the worst director, worst screenplay, and worst picture at a time when so few have the courage to go against the prevailing trends of contemporary moviemaking!"
In this broken world we live in, art is scored like professional wrestling, and I choose not to follow the timid rules set by an industry so risk-averse that, despite its wealth of young talent, it may fail to produce work that will resonate fifty years from now.
It is a great honor to stand with a filmmaker as great and brave as Jacques Tati, who bankrupted himself to make one of history's most beloved failures, "Playtime"! I sincerely thank all the wonderful partners who have made this work of art, "Megalopolis," possible. Let us remind ourselves that the box office is only for making money, and like war, folly, and political maneuvering, it has no real place in our future.
