Fans, get ready! Koi's beloved four-panel manga series, "Is the Order a Rabbit?" (Gochūmon wa Usagi Desu ka?), originally serialized in Houbunsha's "Manga Time Kirara MAX" magazine, is officially getting a brand-new anime! This comes after three TV anime seasons and several OVA adaptations.
The exciting announcement dropped yesterday (March 1st) during the anime's 10th-anniversary special event, "Rabbit House Talk Party 2025." While details like the release date and title are still under wraps, the news that a new "Is the Order a Rabbit?" anime is confirmed has sent ripples of joy through the fandom.
It's been quite a wait! The third TV anime season, "Is the Order a Rabbit? BLOOM," premiered all the way back in October 2020, making this new project a much-anticipated return for the adorable cast.
For the uninitiated, the story follows Cocoa Hoto, a high school student who moves to a charming town known for its wooden houses and cobblestone streets. She stumbles upon a coffee shop called "Rabbit House," which turns out to be her new boarding home. School rules dictate that students must work at their host family's establishment, so Cocoa becomes a waitress at Rabbit House. There, she befriends four other girls, kicking off a delightful slice-of-life comedy centered around their everyday adventures.
The 10th-anniversary event also featured the anime's voice cast on stage. Considering the first season aired over a decade ago, the current lineup of voice actors is truly stellar. The announcement of a new anime production for this milestone anniversary was a delightful surprise for many fans.
Original manga author Koi also drew a celebratory illustration, expressing immense gratitude that the series, still ongoing with its lighthearted four-panel content, continues to captivate fans after all these years.
Many fans have undoubtedly been eagerly awaiting this new anime project. The official team has promised more information will be released gradually, so keep an eye out for future updates!
