For years, this spot has served as a secret hideout for the monsters of the "Ultraman" universe, a place where they could unwind, recharge, and plot their next "evil schemes."
However, the restaurant recently announced it will officially close its doors on April 30th this year, ending an impressive 11-year run. In response to this bittersweet news, the establishment's iconic Alien Baltan Manager took to X to share a message with all patrons, assuring them there's no need to fret.
The Alien Baltan Manager's post stated:
We've been tirelessly raising funds for our Earth conquest, but recently, we received intel that the Ultramen seem to be investigating Kawasaki! Not only that, but our long-time protectors, like Zamsher the Swordsman, have defected to other factions. This means we, the kaiju and aliens lurking on Earth, can no longer guarantee our safety.
Therefore, we've decided to officially cease operations at our Kawasaki base on Earth time, April 30, 2025. Before the Ultramen arrive, we'll be holding the "Kaiju Sakaba Grand Appreciation Festival" to thank all the Earthlings who've supported us for these 11 years. Stay tuned! It's worth noting that our other base, "Kaiju Sakaba Shimbashi Distillery," seems to have gone unnoticed by them. From now on, we'll be shifting our activities there to continue our secret operations.
This announcement was also shared by Tsuburaya Productions' official X account and posted on the M78 website. While the Kawasaki branch bids farewell after 11 years, at least fans still have another location to visit, ensuring this dreamy space for immersing oneself in the world of monsters remains alive.
