But hold up! Today (March 21), COVER Corp. dropped some news: ReGLOSS member Hiodoshi Ao will be suspending her activities. This means she'll be missing the highly anticipated ReGLOSS 3D LIVE performance, "Sakura Mirage," originally scheduled for the evening of March 30. During her hiatus, ReGLOSS will continue as a four-member unit.
When Hiodoshi Ao first debuted, her cool, gender-neutral character design and voice carved out a distinct path within hololive. However, since then, she's hilariously evolved from a suave "ikemen" persona to more of a comedic talent, occasionally even revealing an adorable side. Later official merchandise even featured her in more alluring outfits, showcasing her unique appeal. She currently boasts an impressive 686,000 subscribers.
According to the official announcement:
"Hiodoshi Ao has recently been experiencing poor health. Following a medical diagnosis, it has been confirmed that she is suffering from 'adjustment disorder.' Based on the doctor's diagnosis and recommendations, the management team has decided not to push her with work and will allow her to focus entirely on her recovery, thus leading to the decision to suspend her activities. Furthermore, she will be absent from the ReGLOSS 3D LIVE 'Sakura Mirage,' which she was scheduled to participate in. We sincerely apologize to all fans who have been eagerly anticipating her appearance.
During this period, ReGLOSS activities will continue with the remaining four members. We will fully support Hiodoshi Ao's recovery and hope for her swift return. We kindly ask for your patience as you await her comeback and encourage you to continue offering your support and encouragement. Additionally, please refrain from directly asking Hiodoshi Ao herself or other members about this matter. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation."
Hiodoshi Ao herself also announced that she would be streaming tonight (March 21) to explain her health condition and chat with fans before her hiatus, assuring everyone not to worry.
