Now, fans have even more to celebrate! The official Chiikawa team has announced the grand opening of the brand-new "Chiikawa-yaki Yokohama World Porters Store" in Yokohama's Minato Mirai district! This marks Japan's very first permanent Chiikawa-yaki specialty shop, where fans can feast on adorable, soft-shelled, and generously filled character-shaped treats! Mark your calendars: the store officially opens its doors on April 7, 2025.
This inaugural Chiikawa-yaki store will be serving up freshly baked, fluffy Chiikawa-shaped delights, packed with either sweet red bean paste or rich custard cream. Every bite promises pure happiness!
The store's design features a warm, deep red, Japanese-inspired aesthetic with cozy lighting. Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi will even be sporting special work uniforms to welcome everyone!
These charming treats come in three shapes—Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi—and a variety of fillings including red bean, custard, chocolate, sweet potato, sesame, and cheese. They'll be sold in sets of three for 1,050 JPY and sets of six for 2,100 JPY. Each customer can purchase a maximum of six pieces (either two sets of three or one set of six).
