Cygames' original mecha anime, "Bang Bravern" (Yuki Bakuhatsu Burn Bravern), was a breakout hit last year, captivating fans with its unique blend of mecha action and classic heroics. Even after its broadcast concluded, the series continues to roll out new events, a testament to its enduring popularity.
Today (March 27), it was announced that "Bang Bravern" is collaborating with Fukushima Prefecture's Spa Resort Hawaiians. While details are still under wraps, the mere reveal of the "Hula Bravern" visual immediately sent fans into a frenzy, sparking a massive online buzz.
Spa Resort Hawaiians, located in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, is an all-in-one hot spring entertainment complex perfect for families and couples alike. Boasting a water park with a year-round 28°C temperature, the world's largest open-air bath, and vibrant hula shows, it's the ultimate escape to unwind and forget your daily grind, just like being in Hawaii.
The main water park is housed within a massive, all-weather dome, featuring large pools, a lazy river, thrilling slides, and more. You'll also find the Beach Theater, hosting dazzling dance performances, and the Hibiscus Museum, where you can dive into Hawaiian history and culture.
While the collaboration is set to run from May 16 to July 18, 2025, with further details still pending, the "Hula Bravern" visual alone has given fans plenty to chat about!
Netizens are already "losing it" (in the best way possible), wondering how the collaboration took such an unexpected turn! Others have spotted an empty spot on the resort's hula dancer signboard, clearly reserved for Bravern himself.
Some fans are jokingly asking why, despite "Bang Bravern" having plenty of "waifu" material, the official team somehow knew that *this* is what the fans truly wanted?!
Of course, fans who watched "Bang Bravern" know that the anime's training base was in Hawaii, making this collaboration a thematic "pilgrimage" of sorts!
Fans are already hyped to see Yuuki and Smith's outfits, so it looks like everyone can enjoy a vacation with the dynamic duo!
Even director Masami Obari is super excited!
Over a year since its broadcast, "Bang Bravern"'s popularity shows no signs of slowing down, with various collaborations still in full swing. It just goes to show that this breakout hero-robot anime truly hit the sweet spot for its fanbase!
