As this year's CinemaCon wrapped up, Paramount Pictures closed out the final day by bringing Tom Cruise on stage to promote the eighth installment of his blockbuster franchise, "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning." During the presentation, Cruise also took time to honor his late "Top Gun" co-star, Val Kilmer, who recently passed away from pneumonia.
Cruise asked everyone in attendance to join him in a moment of silence, adding: "I can't tell you how much I admired his performance, how much I admired him as a person, and how honored I felt when he joined 'Top Gun.' Thank you, Val. Godspeed on your next journey."

In addition to mourning Kilmer, Cruise gave a shout-out to the new racing film "F1," which reunites his "Top Gun: Maverick" producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Joseph Kosinski. "I can't wait to see this movie in the summer," he said.
Cruise also praised the driving skills of "F1" star Brad Pitt. "It's amazing to see Brad drive. He's very good, he's a great driver," Cruise shared. "Trust me, I've raced him. When we were making 'Interview with the Vampire,' we would go go-karting. We would literally race all night long."
"The Final Reckoning" is scheduled to hit theaters on May 23, while "F1" is set for a North American release on June 27, following its international debut on June 25.
