Jesse Eisenberg, who has increasingly focused on his directing career in recent years, has already helmed two acclaimed films: "A Real Pain" and "When You Finish Saving the World." "A Real Pain," in particular, garnered significant buzz, earning Kieran Culkin an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Now, Eisenberg is diving into his third directorial feature, with additional cast members recently announced.

Eisenberg's untitled new project had previously confirmed Paul Giamatti and Julianne Moore—who also starred in Eisenberg's "When You Finish Saving the World"—as leads. Today, the production further revealed that Halle Bailey, Havana Rose Liu, and Bernadette Peters will also join the ensemble.
Reportedly a musical comedy, the film marks another significant musical role for Bailey, who has become a prominent figure in the genre. Her recent credits include Disney's live-action "The Little Mermaid," the remake of "The Color Purple," and Pharrell Williams' now-cancelled biopic, "Golden" (formerly "Atlantis") Golden, solidifying her status as a go-to star for musical productions.
The story centers on Moore's character, an introverted woman who is unexpectedly cast in a community theater musical. As she delves into the role, she becomes overly aggressive and loses herself in the process. Filming for the project commenced this month, with A24 confirming its distribution.
