The classic Broadway musical "Guys and Dolls," which premiered in 1950, made its big-screen debut in 1955. That iconic adaptation featured a dream cast including Oscar winner Marlon Brando, legendary singer Frank Sinatra, Golden Globe winner Jean Simmons, and original stage cast member Vivian Blaine. More than half a century later, Hollywood has been eager to bring the beloved story back to theaters.

Sony's TriStar Pictures acquired the remake rights to "Guys and Dolls" in 2019. Last year, the studio brought on Rob Marshall, the acclaimed director behind musicals like "Chicago" and the live-action "The Little Mermaid," to helm the new film adaptation. In recent days, prominent entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman has been reporting on his Patreon page that TriStar has extended offers to several major stars, including Zendaya, Lady Gaga, Glen Powell, and Ryan Gosling.

While there's no official confirmation yet that all four have accepted their respective offers, the rapid succession of casting rumors suggests the production is actively engaging with talent. Filming could commence soon, and the official cast list may be unveiled in the near future.
