"Nikujiru Gyoza no Dandadan" opened in 2011, priding itself on its unique juicy gyoza. The name "Dandadan" was chosen to be simple, memorable, and impactful, aiming to make their delicious gyoza known and loved by many.
Funnily enough, because of the shared name, the restaurant and the manga used to "compete" for top spots in online searches – a running gag among fans. Plus, the specific restaurant Ryū Yukinobu visited this time is in Kawagoe City, which is the real-world inspiration for the manga's "Kaminoe City."
After the in-manga crossover, many fans hoped for a real-life collaboration. Lo and behold, yesterday (April 23), "Nikujiru Gyoza no Dandadan" officially announced its partnership with "Dandadan"! Get ready for limited-edition menu items and exclusive merchandise – a dream come true for many fans.
Fans are absolutely hyped, exclaiming that this long-awaited collaboration is finally here!
