Clay Artist Teams Up with Million-Subscriber Japanese Food YouTuber for an Epic "Magikarp Sashimi" Platter!

Remember Japanese clay artist Nendo Yoshirin? We've previously gushed over his incredible 1:1 scale Pokémon clay creations, like the adorable "Idol Ralts" and the fiery "Cyndaquil." His realistic, yet functional, pieces always leave a lasting impression.

Well, he's back, and this time he's teamed up with none other than Japan's mega-popular food YouTuber, Kimagure Cook (きまぐれクック), who boasts a whopping ten million subscribers! Together, they've cooked up something truly wild: a "Magikarp Sashimi Platter" using Nendo Yoshirin's custom-made clay Magikarp. The eye-popping result has the internet absolutely buzzing!

YouTuber Kimagure Cook (きまぐれクック) is a YouTube sensation with 13.6 million subscribers, known for his engaging cooking and ingredient-sourcing videos. His witty commentary and entertaining presentation have earned him a massive, dedicated fanbase.

The genius behind this project lies in Nendo Yoshirin's custom Magikarp clay model, specifically designed with a 'filleted' look. This allows Kimagure Cook to showcase his sashimi artistry, transforming the clay Pokémon into a stunning culinary display.

Of course, the next step involved Kimagure Cook buying real fish to demonstrate his impeccable knife skills. He jokingly wondered if The Pokémon Company would see the video, and more importantly, what color Magikarp's flesh would actually be! He's also hinted at wanting to try a Gyarados or Parasect model for future culinary platters, revealing that Parasect is actually his favorite Pokémon – who knew?!
