NITORI Meat Bun Cushion Transforms into a "Xiaolongbao" After Two Years, Goes Viral and Cracks Up Netizens

An X (formerly Twitter) post about a "NITORI Meat Bun Cushion" recently blew up online, sparking a massive wave of attention and discussion. User "senanan (@sxexnxaxs)" shared a hilarious side-by-side comparison of her two-year-old cushion with a brand-new one, leaving netizens in stitches and exclaiming, "I can't stop laughing!" and "It's totally turned into a xiaolongbao!"

Officially named "Mochimochi Cushion Nikuman," this popular item is sold by renowned Japanese furniture brand NITORI for 1,990 yen. Designed to resemble a Chinese meat bun, it measures 40cm in diameter and 32cm in height, weighing approximately 650g, and is made from polyester. Its squishy texture and adorable design have made it a fan favorite.

In senanan's viral photos, the cushion on the left is the "battle-hardened" two-year-old veteran, visibly deflated and flattened. The one on the right, however, is a freshly purchased new item, still boasting its plump and fluffy shape. Despite the dramatic transformation, senanan declared, "This cushion is just too functional to ever throw away!" She even added that the old one "developed a certain 'aged' charm after two years" and that she plans to keep using it.

The epic comparison photos quickly went viral, with netizens chiming in with comments like: "Looks like it's been microwaved," "It's about to ooze meat juice," "Ours looks exactly the same," "Still cute though," and "I totally want one!"
