Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the "METAL ROBOT Damashii" series, which combines metallic paint finishes and die-cast frames, has officially announced its latest product, the "Legend Gundam" from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY", slated for release in November 2025. This product will be exclusively sold on the official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI (Tamashii Web Shop).
The ZGMF-X666S Legend Gundam is a mobile suit piloted by Rey Za Burrel, a clone possessing the same genes as Rau Le Creuset. To realize the "Destiny Plan" advocated by his adoptive father, Chairman Gilbert Durandal, it engaged in a decisive battle with Kira Yamato's Strike Freedom Gundam. This unit evolved from the Providence Gundam piloted by Creuset in the previous great war, and is equipped with a second-generation DRAGOON system on its back, significantly enhancing the pilot's spatial awareness and enabling wireless control of the ten DRAGOON weapons, "Giga-Launcher DRAGOONs", for all-range attacks.
The "METAL ROBOT Damashii Legend Gundam" adopts a completely new sculpt to faithfully reproduce its in-series design and sharp, cool silhouette. Most of the movable frame is made of die-cast metal, providing both robust joint strength and a satisfyingly weighty feel. The exterior armor is also finished with rich metallic and matte colors to convey a substantial texture, complemented by original model markings such as "Z.A.F.T." and "FAITH" prints, giving the model a realistic, weapon-like presence.
Standing approximately 14 cm tall at the head, the main body not only features flexible articulation to recreate dynamic battle poses from the series, but its massive disc-shaped backpack and ten "Giga-Launcher DRAGOONs" also boast extensive movable mechanisms. The base connecting the backpack to the main body has a large movable support that allows the backpack to flip upwards, while the semi-circular parts on both sides can swing back and forth. The three "Giga-Launcher DRAGOONs" on each side connected to the disc can also rotate at their bases to face forward for firing.
Included armaments are the "MA-BAR78F High-Energy Beam Rifle" which can be mounted on the back of the backpack, two "MA-M80S Defiant Beam Javelins" with connectable hilts, and a "Beam Shield" effect part for the left arm. Furthermore, the ten "Giga-Launcher DRAGOONs" mounted on the back can recreate the "All-Range Attack" scene with their tails jetting out, using dedicated clear stands and effect parts!
