Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, the new version of 'Road House' debuted on Amazon Prime Video last year and quickly achieved great viewership, prompting an immediate green light for a sequel. Today, the foreign media outlet 'Nexus Point News' exclusively revealed that Dave Bautista will be one of the new cast members in the sequel, and his character, like Gyllenhaal’s protagonist 'Elwood Dalton', comes from a background as a UFC middleweight fighter.
'Nexus Point News' also mentioned in their report that most of the supporting cast from the first film may not return, as the sequel plans to introduce a new set of characters.

The sequel to 'Road House' is now directed by Guy Ritchie, known for the 'Sherlock Holmes' series, taking over from the first film’s director Doug Liman. This marks the third collaboration between Ritchie and Gyllenhaal in recent years; they previously worked together on 'The Covenant', also released by MGM, and another project titled 'In the Grey', which is scheduled for release.
The screenplay for this installment is written by Will Beall, known for 'Aquaman' and 'Gangster Squad', with shooting set to officially begin this fall.
