Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's popular articulated figure series "MAFEX" is releasing an improved DC Comics-themed product—the "No.270 Batman (KNIGHT CRUSADER BATMAN) BLACK Ver." articulated figure. The suggested retail price is 14,080 JPY, and it is scheduled to be released as a commemorative item at Medicom Toy Exhibition 2025 on July 26, 2025!
This iteration of Batman features his appearance from the DC Comics event "Batman: Knightfall," published between 1993 and 1994. In the story, Batman encounters the newly introduced formidable foe, Bane. Bane releases all the inmates from Arkham Asylum, overwhelming Batman. Ultimately, in an exhausted state, Batman's spine is broken by Bane, forcing him to temporarily seek someone else to take on the mantle of Batman.
The Batman (KNIGHT CRUSADER BATMAN) BLACK Ver. figure stands approximately 16 cm tall. It is a recolor based on the previously released "No.215 Batman (KNIGHT CRUSADER BATMAN)," meticulously sculpted to recreate his lean musculature and the folds of his battle suit. The cape is crafted from fabric material and features hidden wires on the sides, allowing for various dynamic poses! The overall design is presented in a classic gray and black color scheme, with the utility belt rendered in a more saturated yellow molded color. It also includes accessories such as a grappling hook, offering collectors a distinct visual experience!
