The 'METAL ROBOT Damashii' series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, is set to launch the protagonist mobile suit 'GQuuuuuuX' from 'Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX' in August 2025. Following the broadcast of the anime's final episode, TAMASHII NATIONS has preemptively unveiled the latest product sample, along with numerous accessories previously kept under wraps to avoid spoilers.
In a timeline where the Principality of Zeon won the One Year War, the gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX is the first Gundam manufactured by the Principality of Zeon military in Universal Century 0085, also known as 'Gundam QuuuuuuX'. This unit boasts exceptional mobility, capable of agile maneuvers in space. Its most significant feature is the new 'Omega Psycho-Comm System' it carries. Once activated, it switches from analog to brainwave control, allowing the mobile suit to instantly adopt offensive and defensive postures based on the pilot's direct thoughts and reactions. However, this also demands extremely high qualifications and abilities from the pilot, and prolonged use can even place a considerable burden on them.
The 'METAL ROBOT Damashii GQuuuuuuX' recreates the unique design by Ikuto Yamashita, which blends numerous curves and straight lines, with sharp, high-resolution sculpting and an alloy movable frame. The entire body features rich color applications and transfer printing to produce complex colors and lines, imparting a high density of detailed information. Parts of the movable frame are made from alloy, reproducing unique structures such as single-axis joints in the elbows and knees, and feet equipped with large thrusters, offering both a metallic texture and a satisfying weight during play.
The shoulder units feature an independent movable design that does not impede the range of motion of the shoulder joints. The shoulder joints also utilize ball joints, allowing for more nuanced posing. The white parts on both sides of the waist have a locking mechanism; flipping them up to unlock further expands the range of motion for the hip joints. The feet, composed of internal thrusters and an outer frame, also reproduce a segmented movable design, offering both stability when grounded and an elegant curve when bent. The pair of thrusters on the backpack's core fighter also feature an angle-changing movable design, allowing for dynamic poses in space.
Weapon accessories include a dedicated display stand, Ryunosuke Heat Hawk, beam rifle, shield, beam saber, and more. The shield, in particular, reproduces its deployment mechanism from the mechanical design. This latest information further showcases previously unrevealed interchangeable head parts and effect parts, allowing for the recreation of the 'Endymion Device Awakening' pose from the final battle, where it was activated to free Lalah from the 'Rose of Sharon,' with its limbs emitting light.
