Sibling Duo to MCU? Pedro Pascal's Sister Lux Pascal Eyes "X-Men" Role

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "X-Men" reboot takes shape, many actors are eager to join, including 33-year-old transgender actress Lux Pascal, sister of Pedro Pascal, who is set to play Mr. Fantastic in "The Fantastic Four: First Steps." In a recent interview, she openly shared her dream of portraying the iconic character Jean Grey and appearing on the big screen alongside her brother in the MCU.

Lux Pascal recently landed her first starring role in the new Netflix film "Miss Carbón." The movie is based on the true story of Carla Antonella Rodríguez, Argentina's first female miner, who challenged gender bias to work in the mines. Agustina Macri directed the film, which also stars Paco León.

When asked about her aspirations for Hollywood, Lux stated, "I feel a strong connection with Jean Grey, both physically and psychologically. She transforms into the Phoenix because she's corrupted by the world, and I can understand that feeling." She also added that acting alongside her brother would be a dream come true: "We've talked about movies together since we were kids, and if we could really collaborate, it would be wonderful."

Lux also expressed gratitude for her brother's long-standing support. Pedro Pascal has frequently spoken out on her behalf, publicly opposing "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling's anti-transgender remarks. Lux confessed, "There's always this underlying pressure in the world for girls like me to choose invisibility. But my brother always tells me: 'Be yourself, and the world will open up for you.'"

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed that "X-Men" will officially reboot, revealing a ten-year plan for the franchise. It is reported that Michael Lesslie, screenwriter for "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," will pen the script, and Jake Schreier, director of "Thunderbolts*," is set to helm the new film.

As the MCU officially ushers in the Mutant Saga, "X-Men" casting announcements are imminent. Whether Lux Pascal will have the opportunity to become the new Jean Grey remains a development for fans to eagerly follow.
