Daiei 30cm Series "Gamera (1995) RENEWAL Ver." Returns with a Highly Organic Sculpt and Revamped Colors!

PLEX Company of Japan, manufactured by X-PLUS Company, released a monster model based on Daiei Film Company's special effects monsters, the "Daiei 30cm Series", announced the latest product from the movie "Gamera: Guardian of the Universe", the "Gamera (1995) RENEWAL Ver.", scheduled for release in September 2025.

The monster Gamera, who appeared in the Heisei Trilogy, is set to be a biological weapon created by a super ancient civilization approximately 150 million years ago to defeat the man-eating monster "Gyaos", utilizing ancient technology and the Earth's life energy "Mana". Gamera can combine oxygen with its internal plasma energy to unleash powerful "Plasma Fireballs". After the great war, Gamera's body structure begins to evolve during periods of rest, with its appearance changing in each subsequent film, and its combat abilities growing stronger.

The "Daiei 30cm Series Gamera (1995) RENEWAL Ver." is a renewal based on the regular version released in 2013. It retains the previous sculpt, recreating the initial appearance from the Heisei Trilogy at a height of approximately 25 cm. It meticulously depicts the head, which still retains a Showa Gamera style, the wrinkles on the entire body's skin, and the complex and intricate patterns on both sides of the shell. Particularly, the inside of the mouth features highly organic teeth and tongue, with rich coloring to represent the moist mucous membranes.

The main modification is the overall color application. Inspired by the final battle scene in the film, the gloss and saturation of the entire body's paint have been readjusted, resulting in a more organic surface texture. Details such as skin wrinkles and patterns are clearer, and the color transition from the body to the shell is more natural.
