Skyler Gisondo, the comedy actor recently gaining significant buzz for his role as the incredibly charming Jimmy Olsen in James Gunn's upcoming "Superman" film, is reportedly joining another major franchise. Renowned entertainment journalist Jeff Sneider exclusively reported on his blog, The InSneider, that Gisondo is set to star in the fourth installment of "Meet the Parents." He will portray Ben Stiller's son, marking a reunion for the two actors who previously shared the screen as father and son in "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb."

Gisondo will be paired with fellow new cast member Ariana Grande, who plays his recently engaged fiancée. Grande's character, known for her strong personality, is expected to clash with Stiller's character, who is notoriously critical of his in-laws.

The confirmed returning original cast members include Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner as the in-laws, alongside Teri Polo and Stiller as the on-screen couple. However, there is no word yet on the return of Owen Wilson, Dustin Hoffman, and Barbra Streisand, who played the other set of in-laws; official confirmation is still pending. This installment is written and directed by John Hamburg, who co-wrote the previous three films. It is slated for a North American release on November 25, 2026.

In the same report, Sneider also noted that Gisondo is expected to reprise his role in a future Jimmy Olsen solo spin-off series. This series will reportedly mark the debut of The Flash's iconic comic book nemesis, Gorilla Grodd, in the DC Universe.
