Harrison Ford's Red Hulk Future in MCU: Actor's Stance Clear Post-"Captain America: Brave New World"

Hollywood legend Harrison Ford made his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut as President "Thunderbolt" Ross in "Captain America: Brave New World" . However, in a recent interview with Variety, when asked about his willingness to return to the MCU, his simple "No" delivered a definitive answer that surprised many fans.

Reportedly, "Captain America: Brave New World" is one of Marvel's most reshot films in recent years, with Ford's character having multiple ending versions. One unutilized concept saw Red Hulk feigning death after a fierce battle with Captain America, only to be seen remotely observing his daughter, Betty Ross, in a post-credits scene. However, the final version has President Ross imprisoned in a floating island prison for his actions, suggesting a potential freeze on the character's future development.

While Ford's debut as Red Hulk generated significant fan discussion and he was initially expected to appear in future Avengers films, including "Avengers: Secret Wars," the 81-year-old actor clearly lacks enthusiasm for further Marvel involvement. Considering "Captain America: Brave New World" itself has garnered mixed reviews and modest box office performance, Ford's lukewarm attitude is understandable.

When pressed on whether he plans to retire, Ford surprisingly stated, "No. One of the things that appeals to me about acting is that they still need old people to play old people." This demonstrates his undiminished passion for his acting career.
