It's been two years since the release of the hit game Street Fighter 6, and it's still a top pick for streamers in the fighting game scene. After all, Street Fighter V had a long run before its sequel dropped, and with tons of tournaments popping up, players are more invested than ever.
Recently, a post on X in Japan blew up, featuring a mere 10-year-old, a 4th-grade elementary schooler named Taki, who's already smashed his way to an incredible MR 2100 ranking! Netizens are absolutely stunned that someone so young could reach such a high level – it's truly mind-blowing.
Turns out, this is Taki's dad's account, where he's been documenting his kid's journey with Street Fighter 6. Taki first got into fighting games in second grade, starting with Modern controls, then switching to Classic controls in third grade. He hit a peak of Act 6: 1841 points with Akuma, and currently sits at Act 8: 2101 points with Mai Shiranui.

His son finally hit MR 2100 today (August 1st)! Act 8 was looking rough, and they thought they'd have to wait for Sagat's Act 9, but he managed to clutch it out right at the wire!
Who would've thought someone this young could pull off such an amazing feat using Classic controls? Even if Mai Shiranui is considered a strong character for climbing ranks, a kid who's only been playing for two years achieving this is seriously impressive. Many netizens have sent their congratulations!

Of course, it's clear his dad's support played a huge role in letting him fully dive into gaming. Seriously, Japanese elementary schoolers are just built different... This editor can't even dream of hitting those ranks, LOL.
