Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY's "Nendoroid" series, which features over a thousand characters, has announced a new product based on the popular anime "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story" – "Shishio Makoto." The suggested retail price is 7,500 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in December 2025!
Shishio Makoto, the strongest antagonist in the Kyoto Arc, was a former Ishin Shishi who served the new government. However, he was betrayed after the success of the Restoration, ultimately surviving and hiding in Kyoto, where he plotted to overthrow the Meiji government. Although he survived, his body was unable to sweat due to severe burns, requiring him to be constantly wrapped in bandages.
This Nendoroid Shishio Makoto stands approximately 10 cm tall, transforming his iconic in-series appearance into the cute Nendoroid proportion. The details of his full-body bandages, the wrinkles in his clothing, and the sword at his waist are all meticulously reproduced! For expressions, he includes a smiling face, an excited face, and a shouting face. Accessories include his weapon Mugenjin, a pipe, and multiple interchangeable hands, allowing you to pose him in battle with the previously released Kenshin in their adorable forms!
