In 2017, shortly after completing "Phantom Thread," three-time Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis unexpectedly announced his retirement from acting. Last October, news broke of his return to the screen for "Anemone," the directorial debut of his artist son, Ronan Day-Lewis. Daniel and Ronan co-wrote the screenplay for the film, and today, Ronan's inaugural feature has finally unveiled its first trailer.

"Anemone" also features a cast including Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley, and Sean Bean. Brad Pitt, through his co-founded production company Plan B Entertainment, serves as a producer on the film. Focus Features is handling distribution, with a North American release slated for October 3. While official plot details remain limited, the film is described as an exploration of the complex relationships between fathers, sons, and brothers.
