At this year's Gamescom Opening Night Live, TT Games unveiled its latest title, "Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight." This new installment, which blends elements from multiple Batman films and games, quickly became a major talking point.
Now, a reliable leaker has indicated that the game's map size will surpass that of "Batman: Arkham Knight," further fueling player anticipation for its expansive world.
The well-known leaker account LEGO Games News (@LEGOTtNewsI) revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that "Legacy of the Dark Knight" will feature Gotham City composed of four islands, making its map larger than "Arkham Knight." The largest of these is reportedly named "South Island," and players have only seen a portion of the starting area, "Tricorner," in trailers and Gamescom demos.

Even more surprisingly, the leaker claims that this starting island alone is larger than any single planet in "Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga."
While this claim might seem exaggerated, its credibility isn't unfounded. LEGOTtNewsl accurately predicted the game's development plans long before its official announcement, and now, players who participated in the Gamescom demo have confirmed that the game map is indeed comprised of four islands, further bolstering the leak's reliability.
Based on the content revealed so far, "Legacy of the Dark Knight" clearly draws inspiration from the "Batman: Arkham" series, both in its combat system and overall atmosphere. From the grapple-boosted traversal to the counter-focused combat design, it evokes Rocksteady's classic titles. However, if the map scale truly is as massive as leaked, this game won't just be a "Lego Arkham" but could become one of the most ambitious Lego games in the franchise's history.
Currently, "Legacy of the Dark Knight" does not have a specific release date, but it is confirmed to launch on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. As more gameplay footage and details are revealed, this title, blending Lego humor with the Dark Knight's legacy, is poised to become a major focal point for both Batman fans and Lego enthusiasts.
