The genius manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, mastermind behind hits like "Fire Punch," "Chainsaw Man," "Goodbye, Eri," and "Look Back," dropped a bombshell late tonight (September 3): all eight of his short stories created between the ages of 17 and 26 are getting animated! The collection, aptly titled "Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26," is set to premiere globally and exclusively on Prime Video on November 8, 2025.

These eight animated works are drawn from Fujimoto's short story collections, "17-21" and "22-26," encompassing his creative output during his formative years from 17 to 26.

Each of these eight animated shorts is being helmed by a different animation studio, featuring titles such as:
"Nayuta of the Prophecy" (Produced by: 100studio)
A cursed brother and sister battle against fate.

"Sister's Older Sister" (Produced by: P.A.WORKS)
A tale of artistic rivalry and jealousy between sisters.

"Two Chickens in the Yard" (Produced by: ZEXCS)
Survivors of humanity's demise encounter mysterious chickens.

"Sasaki-kun Stopped the Bullet" (Produced by: Lapin Track)
Impulse and crisis during adolescence.

"Love is Blind" (Produced by: Lapin Track)
A school-based sci-fi romantic comedy.

"The Assassin" (Produced by: GRAPH77)
A killer girl and a vampire share a strange encounter.

"Mermaid Rhapsody" (Produced by: 100studio)
A romantic musical story of a boy and a mermaid.

"When I Woke Up I Had a Disease Where I Turned Into a Girl" (Produced by: Studio Kafka)
An exploration of gender and self-identity.

The animation project is a collaborative effort involving six animation studios and seven directors, including Tetsuaki Watanabe ("Blue Lock"), Nobuyuki Takeuchi ("Fireworks"), and Kazuaki Terasawa ("The Ancient Magus' Bride Season 2").
Reflecting on his student-era works getting the anime treatment, Fujimoto admitted, "Honestly, I was pretty nervous at first, worried these pieces might be too green, or even just imitative. But seeing them in the hands of so many talented directors, I truly believe they'll transform into something great."

The newly released key visual and trailer, emblazoned with the tagline "The Origin, Now in Motion," perfectly capture the raw intensity, simplicity, and explosive energy of Fujimoto's early works. For fans who adore his already-animated hits like "Chainsaw Man" and "Look Back," these shorts offer a precious glimpse into the author's creative genesis.
Mark your calendars: this series is set for a global exclusive premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 8, 2025. Don't miss it!
