Official Gundam fashion label STRICT-G has teamed up with Alpha Industries several times before, producing collaborations that Gundam fans have found very hard to resist.
Now, the two brands are joining forces once again for an N-2B Heritage Fit Parka inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ protagonist Judau Ashta, complete with newly drawn artwork showing Judau wearing the jacket himself. Priced at ¥59,400, it is now available to preorder through Premium Bandai’s Japanese website.
Inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ protagonist Judau Ashta, the jacket features character-themed patches placed throughout—a signature detail of the brands’ collaborations. This time, they have also created an original illustration to give fans a look at how the jacket appears when worn.
The N-2 and N-3B were adopted by the U.S. military around the same period as flight jackets built for extremely cold environments, while the N-2B can be considered an evolution of the N-2. Designed with a pilot-friendly cropped silhouette, its standout feature is the fur-trimmed hood. Along with the practical functionality and excellent insulation expected from military gear, it also works perfectly as an everyday jacket for colder weather.
The entire jacket comes in classic sage green, giving it a rugged, cold-weather look at first glance. The front zipper is reinforced by an additional buttoned closure to help keep chilly winds out. That balance of function and everyday wearability is exactly why the N-2B has remained popular for so many years.
Nine patches give the jacket a richly detailed finish, while Judau’s name is printed across the back in English. Blending military-inspired elements with the world of Gundam, this collaboration piece puts plenty of care into every detail.
Each purchase also includes an acrylic stand of Judau featuring the newly drawn original illustration.
The T-shirt worn by Judau in the illustration is also available separately. Inspired by the A.E.U.G. (Anti Earth Union Group), it is made from heavyweight 9-ounce fabric and treated with a carefully applied snow-wash finish for a distinctive vintage look. It is priced at ¥8,580.
