As production officially kicks off for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," star Tom Holland recently revealed in an interview that he actively pushed for fan-requested elements during early pitch meetings, even to the point where producers were "annoyed."
Holland confessed to LADBible that he spent a significant amount of time gathering feedback online, scouring forums, social media, and news discussions to understand what audiences most wanted from a Spider-Man film.
"I've been constantly searching and understanding what fans truly want from a Spider-Man story, and that became my biggest driving force when pitching ideas," Holland stated. "Producers sometimes felt I was being too persistent, but I think it's crucial because we're making these films for the fans."
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" began filming in early August 2025 in the UK. On-location shooting is currently underway in Glasgow, Scotland, with the city set to stand in for New York as the film's backdrop. The movie is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings."
