The third installment in the "Tron" franchise, following "Tron" and "Tron: Legacy," "Tron: Ares" is less than a month away from hitting big screens worldwide, with the official character posters finally making their grand debut.
For "Tron: Ares," Joachim Rønning, director of "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil," takes over the helm. The screenplay was penned by Jesse Wigutow ("It Runs in the Family") and Jack Thorne (the "Enola Holmes" series). The film is slated for an October 10 release in North America.

The "Tron: Ares" cast features a lineup of acclaimed talent, including Gillian Anderson, Evan Peters, Cameron Monaghan, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Greta Lee, alongside the return of franchise veteran Jeff Bridges.
Jared Leto takes on the titular role of Ares, a sentient program designed by humans. In the film, Ares will cross from the virtual Grid into the human world on a journey to discover free will. Regarding the score, with Daft Punk — who composed the music for the previous installment — having disbanded four years ago, Nine Inch Nails will now take over the musical reins.
