The wildly popular light novel series Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (青春ブタ野郎), penned by Hajime Kamoshida with illustrations by Keiji Mizoguchi, recently aired its college student arc, "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Christmas Present," this July.
Now, with the latest TV anime season wrapped, official sources have confirmed the next installment: the theatrical film "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Loving Friend." Set to premiere in 2026, this movie will serve as the grand finale for the beloved series.

Fans of the "Bunny Girl Senpai" light novels know the original series concluded last year with its 15th volume. Fittingly, the upcoming film, "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Loving Friend," takes its title directly from that final novel, bringing closure to two TV anime seasons and three previous theatrical films (not counting this 2026 release).

The cinematic journey began with 2019's "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl," followed by 2023's double feature: "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out" and "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid."
Bringing the final chapter back to the big screen ensures that fans can experience the series' ultimate conclusion in theaters.
