Grand Theft Auto VI" Sparks Outrage: TikTok Streamers Confront Rockstar North Employees Over Delay Rumors

"Grand Theft Auto VI" is still months away from release, but player excitement is already at a fever pitch.

However, a recent incident involving a pair of streamers has ignited widespread controversy after they traveled thousands of miles to Edinburgh, Scotland, to confront Rockstar North employees outside their offices, demanding answers about potential game delays and new trailer releases.

According to footage that surfaced online, the streamers, identified as "Back on Boulevard," claimed they couldn't bear the wait any longer and flew from the United States to Scotland specifically for this purpose.

They livestreamed on TikTok, standing outside the Rockstar offices and shouting, "When is the delay?" and "When is the next trailer coming out?" They even declared on camera, "I told you I wasn't joking, I'm sick of not getting answers."

Later in the video, an individual believed to be a Rockstar employee was "intercepted" by the streamers while leaving work and pressed about potential delay plans. The employee promptly left the scene but was still followed by the camera, an action that quickly drew widespread condemnation online, with many players expressing their displeasure on social media.

One user angrily stated that the streamers should be arrested for harassment. Another pointed out the absurdity of expecting answers from developers bound by non-disclosure agreements.

This incident is particularly sensitive because "GTA 6" has already seen a release date shift, initially slated for Fall 2025 before being moved up to May 26, 2026. While Rockstar has released two trailers, the company has maintained a high level of secrecy regarding the game's actual content and future promotional campaigns.

This intense secrecy has fueled some fans' eagerness for new information, but "Back on Boulevard's" actions are widely considered to have crossed a line.

Even more concerning, the streamers also claimed they would "analyze" their "interview" with Rockstar North in a subsequent TikTok livestream. This assertion is widely doubted, as it's almost certain no employee genuinely engaged in a conversation with them.

Rockstar has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident. However, under pressure from social media, many players are calling for respect for developers' privacy and professional conduct, arguing that the team should be allowed to focus on game development rather than being harassed by overly zealous fans.

This event also reflects the intense anticipation and anxiety surrounding "GTA 6" among players worldwide. For most, waiting a few months is a small price; however, for some, this anticipation has been amplified to an extreme degree, ultimately escalating into disruptive behavior.
