After a hiatus from directing, Sam Raimi, the acclaimed director behind Tobey Maguire's "Spider-Man" trilogy, returns with a new project. Following his venture into the Marvel Cinematic Universe three years ago with "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," Raimi is set to deliver a survival thriller with a dark comedic twist titled "Send Help" early next year. The film's screenplay was penned by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, the writing duo behind "Freddy vs. Jason." The first trailer and a teaser poster (pictured below) have just been released.

The film stars Dylan O'Brien, best known for "The Maze Runner" trilogy, alongside Rachel McAdams, who previously collaborated with Raimi on "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness."
The story follows a boss (O'Brien) and an employee (McAdams) who become the sole survivors of a plane crash, finding themselves stranded on a deserted island. They must set aside their past grievances and work together to survive, relying on their wits and willpower. However, their struggle soon devolves into a brutal, darkly humorous battle of wills. "Send Help" is slated for release in North American theaters on January 30 next year.
