Japanese toy company Kotobukiya, following the previous release of "Nakiri Ayame" in its 1/7 scale figure series, has once again announced its latest product featuring a popular VTuber from hololive production: "Nakiri Ayame ~Miko Outfit Ver.~"! The reference price is 27,500 JPY, with a scheduled release in June 2026.
Nakiri Ayame, a second-generation member of hololive, is designed based on the "Oni" (demonic gods) of Japanese culture and was illustrated by Kagura Nana (illustrator name: ななかぐら). Over 1500 years old, she speaks using archaic language and refers to herself as "Yo" (余). Her official lore describes her as a kimono-clad Oni girl from a school in the Underworld who loves pranks and often teases others with her will-o'-the-wisps.
Kotobukiya's "Nakiri Ayame ~Miko Outfit Ver.~" 1/7 scale figure makes a grand return, this time in her Miko (shrine maiden) outfit! Standing approximately 25.5 cm tall, the figure meticulously sculpts the twin horns on Ojou's head that signify her Oni status, while her flowing, gradient hair is rendered with a translucent quality. The spirit flames behind her, Karma and Shiranui, are also crafted from clear parts. The craftsmanship of her outfit is exceptionally detailed. The base is designed to complement her Miko attire, and placed beside her are the demonic sword Rasetsu and the long sword Ashura. The adorable mascot Poyoyo, perched on a lantern, is also vividly brought to life!
