Many actors, after missing out on awards, often don't openly express their disappointment, either out of politeness or to avoid appearing overly competitive. But Timothée Chalamet isn't one of them. In a recent interview with "Vogue," he candidly shared his true feelings about his past losses.
Chalamet admitted in the interview, "If five people go to an awards ceremony and four go home empty-handed, wouldn't you think they'd gather at a restaurant afterward, grumbling, 'Damn, we didn't win!'? I've been around many open-minded, not-at-all-egotistical actors, and maybe some of them would say, 'That was a lovely experience.' But I know for a fact that many of them are internally cursing, 'F***!' People can call me overzealous, or say whatever they want, but I'm the only one who's truly fighting in this business."

Chalamet has received nominations for Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and British Academy Film Awards for his work in films such as "Beautiful Boy" and "Call Me by Your Name." He has yet to secure a win. After missing out on so many occasions, Chalamet's disappointment is certainly understandable. However, at just 29 years old, he has a long career ahead, with plenty of future opportunities.
In the interview, Chalamet was also asked if he would follow many of his film star peers in recent years and venture into television, taking on series roles, given his early career appearance in the TV show "Homeland." His answer was an unequivocal and concise "No."
