Japanese health tech brand TANITA might be celebrating its 80th anniversary, but it's been keeping things fresh by teaming up with popular game and anime IPs lately. Collaborations with mobile games like Blue Archive and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure have definitely boosted its street cred among younger fans.
Now, TANITA is back with another epic crossover, this time with "Golden Kamuy" – just in time for its final anime season airing next January! They're dropping a voice-activated body fat scale and 26 character-themed 3D sensor pedometers. Pre-orders are live now on TANITA's official online store, but these are limited edition, so don't sleep on them!
This isn't just any body fat scale – it *talks*! Get ready for some serious motivation as Sugimoto (CV: Chikahiro Kobayashi), Tanigaki (CV: Yoshimasa Hosoya), Tsukishima (CV: Eiji Takemoto), and Koito (CV: Katsuyuki Konishi) take turns guiding you through your health checks. The scale itself rocks a sleek black and gold design, featuring exclusive artwork of the four hunks shirtless and showing off their impressive physiques. Flip it over, and you'll find the "Golden Kamuy" logo etched on the back for that extra touch of class.
From initial setup to measurement and results, you'll get unique voice lines every step of the way. What's even better? Depending on your stats, the characters will drop some hilariously blunt (and sometimes a little chuunibyou) comments, like:
When initial setup is complete: "Initial setup complete. I expect you to measure every day." (Tsukishima)
When powering on: "I am 'Immortal Sugimoto'!" (Sugimoto)
When your body fat percentage is high: "Your body fat is a bit high. Hey, Tsukishima! Go exercise with them for a bit!" (Koito)
And for an extra surprise, you'll even get a special character birthday message! This talking scale is priced at 22,000 JPY. (You can hear voice samples on the official website!)
But wait, there's more! They're also rolling out brand-new "3D Sensor Pedometers" (model FB-741). These bad boys pack a three-axis accelerometer, so whether you wear it around your neck, stash it in your pocket, or toss it in your bag, it'll accurately track your steps.
This series boasts 26 different character designs, each with a unique background color representing their respective character. Now you can walk your "path to health" alongside your favorite character! These eye-catching pedometers are priced at 3,520 JPY each.
These exclusive items are only available for pre-order on TANITA's official online store, with shipments expected in late February 2026. For more details, hit up the official special website!
