METAL ROBOT Damashii "Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound" Commercialization Announced! Pirate-like Cool Design Revealed!

Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "METAL ROBOT Damashii" series, which combines metallic texture painting and an alloy frame, has announced the commercialization of the popular mobile suit "Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound" from "Mobile Suit Gundam AGE". The release date is yet to be determined.

The AGE-2DH Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound is the mobile suit utilized by Asemu Asuno after he became "Captain Ash," the leader of the Bisidian space pirates. This unit was repaired from a severely damaged Gundam AGE-2, and its appearance not only features a new jet-black paint scheme but also boasts pirate characteristics such as a captain's hat and a hook arm. For the Bisidian's purpose of plundering resources, this unit is equipped with numerous weapons suitable for raids and captures, including the "Dods Lancer" for suppression and the "Anchor Shot" which can release powerful electric currents. In its Strider Mode, it is equipped with "Hyper Boosters" capable of towing multiple escort units for emergency escape.

After nearly two years since the development information was teased in late 2023, the "METAL ROBOT Damashii Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound" has finally been announced for commercialization, with its overall mobile suit design revealed. It faithfully recreates characteristic features such as the skull antenna, and it can be seen that at least the limbs and waist utilize an alloy frame. It is finished with various metallic color coatings for a weighty texture and original body markings, adding more depth to the originally refined mobile suit design.
