The original assembly model series '30 MINUTES MISSIONS', released by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division, known for its quick assembly, ease of customization, and mass-produced machine appeal, has announced its latest product, "30MM 1/144 EXM-Σ2 Verdnova (Imitation)", scheduled for release in April 2026.
The EXM-Σ2 Verdnova was designed by renowned mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa. In the story's setting, it is the first flying new machine developed by the Byron Army, equipped with a flight backpack featuring a pair of large main wings, granting the Verdnova main unit flight capability. It can also be reconfigured into three combat forms: "High Mobility Combat," "Mid-Range Combat," and "Long-Range Combat." The EXM-Σ2 Verdnova (Imitation) is a special specification independently improved and mass-produced by the Maxion Army, the third faction in the story, after studying the original machine.
The "30MM 1/144 EXM-Σ2 Verdnova (Imitation)" is a modification based on the previously released standard specification Verdnova. It utilizes new parts to recreate a distinct head sculpt and includes two interchangeable head parts for commander and mass-production units. All body parts are molded in black, purple, and clear purple to reproduce its jet-black coloration. In addition to the Verdnova's original rifle, it is also equipped with Maxion-made Tachi (long sword) and other weapons.
