Danish toy company LEGO recently not only announced its participation in the "F1 Academy" (F1 ACADEMY), an all-female racing series, with its "LEGO Racing" team, but also unveiled a new product, item number 77258, in its Speed Champions series: the "F1 ACADEMY™ LEGO® Race Car" (tentative translation)! It is scheduled for release on March 1, 2026, with a suggested retail price of US$27.99.
The collaboration between LEGO and F1 is becoming even closer! In addition to creating LEGO racing merchandise and producing 1:1 scale race cars that can actually be driven by top world racers, this time they are partnering with Dutch female racer Esmee Kosterman, preparing to compete in future F1 Academy races with the LEGO Racing team. This set transforms the race car, adorned with a unique LEGO-style livery, into a 201-piece LEGO model. Once assembled, it stands approximately 4 cm tall and measures 18 cm long, and includes a female racer minifigure. The car body faithfully reproduces the car number 32, the LEGO and F1 ACADEMY logos, and the yellow Pirelli lettering is printed on the tires.
