Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY, known for its "Nendoroid Plus" rubber character mascot series which retains the cuteness of Nendoroids while offering more accessible prices and adorable designs, has launched two new products based on the popular anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End"—the "Frieren" and "Fern" rubber character mascots. Each is priced at a suggested retail price of 1,300 JPY and is scheduled for release in May 2026!
The story of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" tells of the elven protagonist Frieren, who possesses an extremely long lifespan. She once, alongside the hero Himmel and his party, defeated the Demon King, but only after Himmel's passing did she gradually come to understand the fleeting yet brilliant nature of human life. To further comprehend human emotions, Frieren embarks on a journey of self-discovery with the disciples of two of her former comrades.
For this Nendoroid Plus release, Frieren and Fern are depicted in adorable sitting poses, recreating their iconic looks from the series with an approximately 2.5-head-tall proportion. Details such as Frieren's shawl and earrings, and Fern's coat and long hair are faithfully sculpted. Standing at approximately 8 cm tall, they are delightful to hold or display on a shelf, and the sight of them sitting together is incredibly cute!
