"LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight" made a significant return at this year's The Game Awards, showcasing extensive new gameplay footage and officially announcing its highly anticipated release date. The title is set to launch on May 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), with a Nintendo Switch 2 version also planned.

The latest trailer offers players an even clearer look at the meticulously rebuilt Batcave and the sprawling cast of heroes and villains populating Gotham City. Alongside iconic allies like Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Catwoman, a formidable roster of classic antagonists including Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Joker, Penguin, Ra's al Ghul, and Bane are all confirmed to appear.

Notably, the trailer also highlights that players will be able to pilot a variety of classic Batmobiles, featuring designs from "Batman: The Animated Series" as well as the beloved Batmobile from "The Dark Knight" film series.
First revealed during Gamescom 2025 in August, TT Games previously emphasized that "LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight" represents the most ambitious entry in the "LEGO Batman" series to date. Players will not only control seven primary characters but also freely explore a vast Gotham City, unlocking diverse missions and vehicles as they progress.
