Konatsu Kato has been making waves on YouTube recently, thanks to her expressive reactions and fun fan interactions while streaming "Silent Hill f". But it was a surprisingly simple video, uploaded to her personal channel on December 10, 2025, titled "Just Buying a PS5," that truly went viral. In just about a week, it soared past 1 million views, now sitting at over 1.04 million! This isn't some elaborate gameplay stream or a special project; it's literally just her buying a PS5, yet its massive success has everyone taking notice of her incredible online influence.
For those out of the loop, Konatsu Kato plays Hinako Fukami, the protagonist in the latest "Silent Hill" installment, "Silent Hill f". Her nuanced and emotional performance has earned her high praise from players and even snagged her a nomination for "Best Performance" at The Game Awards 2025.
She shared on her channel that she initially rented a PS5 for her streams. But when it became clear she wouldn't finish the game before the rental period was up, she decided to just buy one. She filmed the entire process, uploading it as a casual vlog – and boom! It unexpectedly blew up.
Many netizens believe the video's rapid ascent to over a million views isn't just about the content itself, but a testament to Konatsu Kato's growing popularity and the trust she's built in both the gaming and entertainment industries. Her natural, unforced style resonates deeply with viewers, making her influence comparable to that of established content creators.
