The new, eponymous reboot of the "Anaconda" franchise has just dropped its final trailer, packed with two major highlights. First, the trailer's opening sequence deliberately misleads viewers into thinking it's promoting "Avatar: Fire and Ash," even using the iconic Papyrus font from the "Avatar" series. This clever gag plays on the films' close release dates. The second highlight is a surprise cameo from Ice Cube, one of the original cast members from the 1997 "Anaconda" film, returning as himself.

Directed by Tom Gormican, known for "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent," the American reboot sees Gormican reunite with his "Massive Talent" co-writer Kevin Etten for the screenplay. Much like "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" featured Nicolas Cage playing himself, this new "Anaconda" film is set in a meta-universe where the "Anaconda" film series exists within the characters' reality.

The film boasts a star-studded cast including Thandiwe Newton, Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Ben Lawson, Steve Zahn, and Daniela Melchior. It is slated for a Christmas Day release in North America on December 25th.

This "Anaconda" reboot embraces a "meta" style, following a group of "Anaconda" film series fans who venture into the jungle to remake the movie themselves. However, their production takes a dangerous turn when they encounter a real anaconda, now hunting them.
