With the legendary Super Sentai series wrapping up its nearly 50-year legacy after the conclusion of *Daiichi Sentai Go-Jusha*, a new era of tokusatsu is dawning. Toei has officially unveiled its next major initiative, PROJECT R.E.D., and its first title is none other than Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity.
Today (January 18), the studio dropped the full cast list, revealing that Kohei Nagata will suit up as the new generation's hero, Gavan Infinity. The voice cast is just as stacked, featuring industry legends like Takehito Koyasu, Ayako Kawasumi, and Toshihiko Seki. Mark your calendars for the official premiere on February 15.
A "Super Production Presentation" event held ahead of the premiere gave fans a sneak peek at the story:
The setting is Plural Earth α0073, which has entered a "Cosmic Symbiosis Era." In this world, newly discovered energy lifeforms called "Emolgy" are being exploited by criminal aliens, prompting the formation of the Galactic Federation Police to tackle the threat.
Stepping into the role of **Gavan Infinity / Reiji Doki**, the only one to pass the grueling trials and earn the title of "Space Sheriff Gavan," is **Kohei Nagata**. During the event, he struck the iconic "Jouchaku" (Vaporize!) transformation pose for the first time, declaring with passion, "I'm bursting with a sense of responsibility and a 'let's do this!' spirit. I feel like I'm completely filled with Emolgy's positive energy!"
The rest of the stellar cast was also announced:
**Arihiro Matsunaga** as Colonel Date, a multiverse researcher.
He shared with a smile that being part of such a massive project is both incredibly pressuring and exciting, and he hopes to give it his all alongside the team.
**Konoka Arisaka** as the female lead, Agi, an autonomous AI support system.
She gushed that Nagata's action scenes were so cool they had the backstage crew cheering.
**Hiroto Yasuda** as Rikiya Wanibuchi, an elite detective in the Galactic Federation Police's First Investigation Division.
He described the show as jam-packed with fan-favorite elements like "space, cops, partners, and bonds," summing it up as "Totally Gavan!"
**Ryuga Akabane** as Gavan Bushido / Setsuna Aikokuin.
**Anna Iriyama** as Rui Amo, Bushido's superior.
**Kokona Sumi** as Gavan Luminous / Kihira Iwai.
**Rana Tanida** as Hisashi Takanari, Luminous's partner investigator.
**Yuta Hiraoka** as the Chief of the Galactic Federation Police's Earth Branch Security Bureau.
The show is also backed by a powerhouse voice cast:
**Takehito Koyasu** as Patran, an alien investigator.
**Ayako Kawasumi** as the Emolgear energy lifeforms and the series narrator.
**Toshihiko Seki** as the voice of Gavan's transformation gun, the "Gavallion Trigger," and the spaceship's system.
Officials also teased that Seki will voice "another, even more crucial character."
Popular anisong artist May'n is handling the theme song, "LOVE IS THE STRONGEST." Fans can get a first listen live at the Super Hero Festival 2026 on February 4.
